The increase in oil production output in the Niger Delta has been attributed to the proactive measures put in place by officers and men of the Nigerian Navy.

The Chief of the Naval Staff who is visiting the NNS Delta Command in Warri as part of his first official visit as the new man in the helms of affairs of the Nigerian Navy , inspected several facilities and gunboats at the NNS Delta jetty before meeting with officers and ratings of the Nigerian Navy at the auditorium where he assured adequate welfare packages and demanded professionalism among all rank and file.
